Q: How can I tell if my siding is bad?

A: Usually you can tell pretty easily just by looking at the siding closely. Appearance of fungus, obvious separation of seams, caulking failure, swelling, de-laminating, boards that no longer lay flat against your house, paint failure, moisture on the inside of your house- all could be signs of siding failure.

Q: What is the best type of siding for my home?

Q: Can I replace my siding during the winter months?

A: This answer greatly depends on weather, but the short answer is yes. Winter is a good time to start your siding project. Oftentimes it is much easier to reserve a space in the winter than it is any other time of year. In addition, during winter months we tear-off smaller sections and reside those sections before we move on. That ensures that your home will always have limited exposure to the elements.

Q: When should you clean your gutters?

A: Not very often. If you clean them out twice per year (late spring/early summer and late fall/early winter) you’re set. Just make sure they’re cleared of leaves, and anything else that has found its way into the gutter.

Q: What is a seamless gutter system?

A: One of the largest drawbacks to sectional systems is that all those seams can eventually invite leaks. Seamless gutters won’t leak at seams because there are none; sections join only at inside and outside corners and at downspout outlets. That’s why they have become the most popular choice.
